Editorial Boards are a vital component in the governance of academic journals. They hold the primary responsibility to ensure that the publication process is conducted with quality, objectivity, transparency, and in accordance with academic publishing ethics.

For the INDONESIAN JOURNAL OF AGILE MANAGEMENT (IJAM), the composition of the Editorial Board is designed to:

  1. Meet national accreditation standards (Sinta) and international indexing requirements (DOAJ, Copernicus).

  2. Represent expertise relevant to management, business, marketing, human resources, finance, accounting, and risk management.

  3. Strengthen national and international academic networks.

  4. Enhance the journal’s reputation as a reputable publication reference.

 

A. Struktur Editorial Boards Yang Disarankan

Berikut struktur umum yang bisa diterapkan:

Editor-in-Chief (Pemimpin Redaksi)

Main Roles:

  • Lead the entire editorial process and journal development.

  • Establish editorial policies, publication ethics, and manuscript quality guidelines.

  • Make final decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection.

  • Represent the journal at national and international forums.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • PhD in management/business or academic position of Associate Professor/Professor.

  • Experienced in leading journal editorial boards or research institutions.

  • Have a strong track record of national and international publications.

Managing Editor

(Editor Pelaksana)

Main Roles:

  • Manage the daily editorial workflow through OJS (Open Journal Systems).

  • Coordinate correspondence with authors and reviewers.

  • Ensure completeness of manuscript documents and formatting.

  • Manage archiving, DOI assignment, and journal indexing.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Master’s degree in Management/Business.

  • Experienced in managing academic journals and the OJS system.

  • Communicative and detail-oriented in manuscript administration.

Section Editors

(Editor Bidang/Subjek)

Main Roles:

  1. Handle manuscripts according to specific subject areas:

  • Strategic Management

  • Marketing

  • Human Resources

  • Finance

  • Accounting

  • Risk and Business Innovation

  1. Assign reviewers based on the article’s expertise.

  2. Provide editorial recommendations to the Editor-in-Chief.

Qualifications:

  1. Permanent lecturer in a relevant field, with at least a Master’s degree.

  2. Actively publish in their area of expertise.

Editorial Board Members

(Dewan Penyunting)

Main Roles:

  • Provide strategic input for journal development.

  • Promote the journal within academic networks.

  • Occasionally serve as reviewers according to their expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Senior lecturers or researchers from the Indonesian Journal of Agile Management (IJAM) or partner institutions.

  • Represent diverse fields of study and institutions.

  • It is recommended that at least 30% of members come from outside the home institution to enhance credibility.

Advisory Board (Dewan Penasihat)

Main Roles:

  • Provide long-term strategic guidance.

  • Assist in strengthening national and international indexing.

  • Support the development of the journal’s quality policies.

Qualifications:

  • Academics or practitioners with a national/international reputation.

  • Have held strategic positions (e.g., chair of a scientific association or manager of a reputable journal).

 

B. Principles for the Proper Composition of the Editorial Boards
To support the campus’s progress over the next five years:

  1. Proportional and Competent – Ensure that each field is proportionally represented.

  2. Institutional Diversity – Include editors from various universities.

  3. National and International Representation – At least 1–2 members should come from abroad or international partners.

  4. Ethical Compliance – All members must sign a publication ethics statement and declare no conflicts of interest.

  5. Development Capacity – Members should be willing to actively promote the journal and recruit quality articles.
